Asked by Patrick Karall. With Receiver 4. This error occurs with Windows 8. Does anybody else also have this? I believe I started seeing this with Receiver 4. Similar behavior where "fatal error" comes up after sleep mode. It also seems to come up more frequently when resuming from sleep and not on the network. We have Receiver 4. Not sure if StoreFront users are getting the same types of errors.

Self-service Plug-in exited unexpectedly. Exception was General failure Server stack trace: at Dazzle. Exception rethrown at [0]: at System. ExecuteWorkItem at System. Dispatch at System. We're having this problem also with our Win 8. I've not seen it on our Win 7 Pro SP1 clients though probably because they don't sleep.

There seem to be many issues with the 4. I wish I hadn't rolled it out. I check every day for a new release that will hopefully fix the many problems. I have to use the offline plugin to even get receiver to install now. Is there any solution to this? This is a real pain. It does seem to happen when laptops enter sleep mode or otherwise have their Citrix receiver connection break.

Then at that point you will get this Fatal Error forever even after a fresh reboot. The only fix is to uninstall and reinstall the Citrix Receiver, which we have done dozens of times now as a result of this problem.

Another very frustrating aspect of this is once it breaks, it seems impossible to unload Citrix and it will continue to pile on "Fatal Error" dialogs. I can end up with dozens of them stacked. I usually have to reboot, then uninstall Citrix receiver, then re-install it. Need to do multiple times per week on some systems. Please fix this!!!
